Emergency First Aid/Basic Life Support

• Organisations with up to 50 staff, where the environment is considered low-hazard

Duration - 1 day (6 hrs)

• First Aid at Work Legislation & Requirements

• Vital signs: conscious level • breathing • colour • temperature

• Accident procedure • Safe airway position (SAP)

• Breathing problems: how to cope with choking

• Circulation problems: someone collapses • shock • chest pain • heart stoppage

• Unconscious casualty: what is the cause? • what can you do?

• Bleeding: treating bleeding from open wounds

• CPR: cardiopulmonary resuscitation • UK and European Certification

On completion of the above course, candidates will receive a highfield Emergency First Aid Certificate.
